One day as he was walking by the sea, he saw a small boy who, with the help of a shell, was emptying water from the ocean into a hole he had dug in the sand. "What are you doing, son?" asked Augustine. He was impressed by the naive answer, "I'm going to empty all the sea into this hole." Augustine smiled. An inner voice, however, was saying to him, "You are trying to do the same thing by thinking you can understand the depths of God with your limited mind.

Our Church is building a Prayer tower in the small town of Martinsville Va. At Mercy Mountain it will be open to the world. When finished anyone in the world wishing to visit and Pray will be welcome.
The Church at Mercy Crossing
We are a group of people called to minister compassion to our community and our world while leading them to the cross where they can make life changes that will last for eternity. , God has truly placed us here to be the Crossroads to a New Tomorrow.
The Church (called out ones; ekklesia) – at Mercy (compassion that forbears punishing even when justice demands it; kindness) – Crossing (the cross symbolizing Christian faith and sacrifice and crossing meaning the intersection of two ways; the crossroads of life).
