Whispers From God;

You want to listen?

The man whispered, “God, speak to me”
And a meadowlark sang. But the man did not hear!

So the man yelled, “God speak to me” and the thunder
Rolled across the sky, but the man did not listen.

The man looked around and said, “God let me see you”
And a star shone brightly, but the man did not see!

And the man shouted, “God show me a miracle”
And a life was born, but the man did not notice!

So the man cried out in despair, “Touch me God, and let
Me know you are here” Whereupon, God reached down
And touched the man, but the man brushed the butterfly
Away. The man cried, “God I need your help”

And an email arrived reaching out with good news and
Encouragement, but the man deleted it and continued crying!

Don’t miss out on a blessing because it isn’t packaged
the way That you expect. My instructions were to send
this to people that I wanted God to bless, he blessed us
with this and now I pass it On to you.

T H E D I F F E R E N C E

I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day.

I had so much to accomplish that I didn’t have time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task.

"Why doesn’t God help me?" I wondered

He answered, "You didn’t ask."

I wanted to see joy and beauty, but day toiled gray and bleak;

I wondered why God didn’t show me, He said, "But you didn’t seek."

I tried to come into God’s presence; I used all my keys at the lock.

God gently and lovingly chided, "My child, you didn’t knock."

I woke early this morning, and paused before entering the day;

I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.

The Sack Lunches

A very touching story

The Sack Lunches

I put my carry-on in the luggage compartment and sat down in my
assigned seat. It was going to be a long flight. 'I'm glad I have a good
book to read. Perhaps I will get a short nap,' I thought.

Just before take-off, a line of soldiers came down the aisle and
filled all the vacant seats, totally surrounding me. I decided to start a
conversation.

'Where are you headed?' I asked the soldier seated nearest to me.
'Petawawa. We'll be there for two weeks for special training, and
then we're being deployed to Afghanistan

After flying for about an hour, an announcement was made that sack
lunches were available for five dollars. It would be several hours before we
reached the east, and I quickly decided a lunch would help pass the time...

As I reached for my wallet, I overheard a soldier ask his buddy if
he planned to buy lunch.  'No, that seems like a lot of money for just a
sack lunch. Probably wouldn't be worth five bucks.  I'll wait till we get to
base.'

His friend agreed.

I looked around at the other soldiers. None were buying lunch.
I walked to the back of the plane and handed the flight attendant a fifty
dollar bill.  'Take a lunch to all those soldiers.' She grabbed my arms and
squeezed tightly. Her eyes wet with tears, she thanked me.
'My son was a soldier in Iraq; it's almost like you are doing it for him.'

Picking up ten sacks, she headed up the aisle to where the soldiers
were seated. She stopped at my seat and asked, 'Which do you like best -
beef or chicken?'
'Chicken,' I replied, wondering why she asked. She turned and went
to the front of plane, returning a minute later with a dinner plate from
first class.

'This is your thanks..'

After we finished eating, I went again to the back of the plane,
heading for the rest room.

A man stopped me. 'I saw what you did. I want to be part of it.
Here, take this.' He handed me twenty-five dollars.

Soon after I returned to my seat, I saw the Flight Captain coming
down the aisle, looking at the aisle numbers as he walked, I hoped he was
not looking for me, but noticed he was looking at the numbers only on my
side of the plane. When he got to my row he stopped, smiled, held out his
hand and said, 'I want to shake your hand.' Quickly unfastening my seatbelt
I stood and took the Captain's hand. With a booming voice he said, 'I was a
soldier and I was a military pilot.
Once, someone bought me a lunch. It was an act of kindness I never forgot.'
I was embarrassed when applause was heard from all of the passengers.

Later I walked to the front of the plane so I could stretch my
legs. A man who was seated about six rows in front of me reached out his
hand, wanting to shake mine. He left another twenty-five dollars in my palm.

When we landed I gathered my belongings and started to deplane.
Waiting just inside the airplane door was a man who stopped me, put
something in my shirt pocket, turned, and walked away without saying a word.
Another twenty-five dollars!

Upon entering the terminal, I saw the soldiers gathering for their
trip to the base.

I walked over to them and handed them seventy-five dollars. 'It
will take you some time to reach the base.. It will be about time for a
sandwich.

God Bless You.'

Ten young men left that flight feeling the love and respect of
their fellow travelers.

As I walked briskly to my car, I whispered a prayer for their safe
return. These soldiers were giving their all for our country. I could only
give them a couple of meals. It seemed so little...
A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank
check made payable to 'The United States of America  ' for an amount of 'up
to and including my life.'

That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who
no longer understand it.'

May God give you the strength and courage to pass this along to
everyone on your email buddy list....

I JUST DID

Let us pray...

Prayer chain for our Military... Don't break it!

Please send this on after a short prayer.. Prayer for our soldiers
Don't break it!

Prayer:

'Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they
protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform
for us in our time of need. Amen.'

Prayer Request: When you receive this, please stop for a moment and
say a prayer for our troops around the world.

There is nothing attached. Just send this to people in your address
book. Do not let it stop with you. Of all the gifts you could give a Marine,
Soldier, Sailor, Airman, & others deployed in harm's way, prayer is the very
best one.

GOD BLESS YOU FOR PASSING IT ON!

A Little Boy's Explanation of God

-- Fabulous!!! - Out of the mouths of

Babes--

I certainly don't think an adult could explain this more beautifully!

THIS IS FABULOUS!!!

It was written by an 8-year-old named Danny Dutton, who lives in Chula
Vista , CA . He wrote it for his third grade homework assignment, to
'explain God.' I wonder if any of us could have done as well?

[ ... And he had such an assignment, in California , and someone
published it, I guess miracles do happen ! ... ]

EXPLANATION OF GOD:

'One of God's main jobs is making people. He makes them to replace the
ones that die, so there will be enough people to take care of things on earth.
He doesn't make grownups, just babies. I think because they are smaller
and easier to make. That's why he doesn't have to take up his valuable time
teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leave that to mothers and
fathers.'

'God's second most important job is listening to prayers. An awful lot of
this goes on, since some people, like preachers and things, pray at times
beside bedtime. God doesn't have time to listen to the radio or TV because
of this. Because he hears everything, there must be a terrible lot of
noise in his ears, unless he has thought of a way to turn it off.'

'God sees everything and hears everything and is everywhere which keeps
Him pretty busy. So you shouldn't go wasting his time by going over your mom
and dad's head asking for something they said you couldn't have.'

'Atheists are people who don't believe in God. I don't think there are any
in Chula Vista . At least there aren't any who come to our church.'

'Jesus is God's Son. He used to do all the hard work, like walking on
water and performing miracles and trying to teach the people who didn't want
to learn about God. They finally got tired of him preaching to them and they
crucified him But he was good and kind, like his father, and he told his
father that they didn't know what they were doing and to forgive them and
God said O.K.'

'His dad (God) appreciated everything that he had done and all his hard
work on earth so he told him he didn't have to go out on the road anymore.
He could stay in heaven. So he did. And now he helps his dad out by
listening to prayers and seeing things which are important for God to take care of
and which ones he can take care of himself without having to bother God.
Like a secretary, only more important.'

'You can pray anytime you want and they are sure to help you because they
got it worked out so one of them is on duty all the time.'

'You should always go to church on Sabbath because it makes God happy, and
if there's anybody you want to make happy, it's God!

Don't skip church to do something you think will be more fun like going to
the beach. This is wrong. And besides the sun doesn't come out at the
beach until noon anyway.'

'If you don't believe in God, besides being an atheist, you will be very
lonely, because your parents can't go everywhere with you, like to camp, but
God can. It is good to know He's around you when you're scared, in the
dark or when you can't swim and you get thrown into real deep water by big
kids.'

'But... you shouldn't just always think of what God can do for you. I
figure God put me here and he can take me back anytime he pleases.

And... that's why I believe in God.'

PSALM 55:22......A MUST READ!!!!

'Friends are God's way of taking care of us.'

This was written by a Metro Denver Hospice Physician:

I was driving home from a meeting this evening about 5, stuck in traffic on Colorado Blvd., and the car started to choke and splutter and die - I barely managed to coast into a gas station, glad only that I would not be blocking traffic and would have a somewhat warm spot to wait for the tow truck. It wouldn't even turn over. Before I could make the call, I saw a woman walking out of the quickie mart building, and it looked like she slipped on some ice and fell into a gas pump, so I got out to see if she was okay

When I got there, it looked more like she had been overcome by sobs than that she had fallen; she was a young woman who looked really haggard with dark circles under her eyes. She dropped something as I helped her up, and I picked it up to give it to her. It was a nickel.

At that moment, everything came into focus for me: the crying woman, the ancient Suburban crammed full of stuff with 3 kids in the back (1 in a car seat), and the gas pump reading $4.95.

I asked her if she was okay and if she needed help, and she just kept saying 'I don't want my kids to see me crying,' so we stood on the other side of the pump from her car. She said she was driving to California and that things were very hard for her right now. So I asked, 'And you were praying?' That made her back away from me a little, but I assured her I was not a crazy person and said, 'He heard you, and He sent me.'

I took out my card and swiped it through the card reader on the pump so she could fill up her car completely, and while it was fueling, walked to the next door McDonald's and bought 2 big bags of food, some gift certificates for more, and a big cup of coffee... She gave the food to the kids in the
car, who attacked it like wolves, and we stood by the pump eating fries and talking a little.

She told me her name, and that she lived in Kansas City Her boyfriend left 2 months ago and she had not been able to make ends meet. She knew she wouldn't have money to pay rent Jan. 1, and finally in desperation had finally called her parents, with whom she had not spoken in about 5 years. They lived in California and said she could come live with them and try to get on her feet there.

So she packed up everything she owned in the car. She told the kids they were going to California for Christmas, but not that they were going to live there.
I gave her my gloves, a little hug and said a quick prayer with her for safety on the road. As I was walking over to my car, she said, 'So, are you like an angel or something?'

This definitely made me cry. I said, 'Sweetie, at this time of year angels are really busy, so sometimes God uses regular people.'

It was so incredible to be a part of someone else's miracle. And of course, you guessed it, when I got in my car it started right away and got me home with no problem. I'll put it in the shop tomorrow to check, but I suspect the mechanic won't find anything wrong.

Sometimes the angels fly close enough to you that you can hear the flutter of their wings...

Psalms 55:22 'Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee. He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.'

My instructions were to pick four people that I wanted God to bless, especially for the New Year 2010 , and I picked you.

Please pass this to four people you want to be blessed

Here is the prayer:

'Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and email buddies reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit this very moment.. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace, In Jesus' precious name. Amen.'

I know I picked more than four -- you can, too.
When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say, 'Jesus, could You please get that for me.'

Thank-you please join our group!
